PostSubject: Bloodhawk's: Chapter One -- A Nasty Surprise   Sat Mar 19, 2011 9:00 pm

For what seemed like the millionth time, Alec began to wonder what his life might have been like had the Resolute never been destroyed...he began to wonder if he might have gotten married and possibly had a kid or two. But as reality tended to do whenever these thoughts crept into his head it reminded him of why he was here, why the Republic needed to be brought low for their past sins against his crew and what it had cost him. Too many aboard the Bloodstripe were forgetting their roots as a military unit and becoming as savage as the pirates they once hunted. With a hiss the turbolift doors opened and Alec walked out onto the bridge and made his way down the center isle to where Joska stood, silently pleased at his crew for not breaking their concentration at their tasks upon his entrance. " Alright Joska, what's our status? " Turning to Alec Joska gave a crisp nod and reported " All stations report ready for combat and our pilots are on stand by. " Smiling Alec turned to the main bridge viewport and nodded and waited for the tell tale markers of a starship dropping from hyperspace. This mission had been planned down to the last detail, it's planning having taken nearly three months of hard intel and learning their targets secret route... something his contacts in the Republic military had learned with little to no difficulty at all.

Meanwhile down in the Bloodstripe's main hanger bay, her pilots sat in waiting for the signal to launch, all that was but one. With a frantic flourish Jysella ran past rows of smartly lined fightercraft while she aimed her general direction towards her E-wing. Swinging under the wing of a StarViper she sailed past Deimos fighter's cockpit and received a smattering of heckling from him. " Shut it... Ceramic Boy!!! " She shouted back in his direction and finally reached her E-wing. Bounding up the rail steps she slid into the cockpit, strapped in, then slid the cockpit canopy back along it's rails and into place with a loud click. " This is Navos, Two Burners Lit and... " A flick of several switches and a quick press of the Master Arm and she finished her sentence. " Triple Lasers and a Launcher are set to go. "

Deimos chuckled as he watched Jysella disappear amongst the sea of star-fighters after their verbal sparring then began his preflight checks."Good thing i finished recalibrating the engines earlier." he mumured to himself. The SuperViper, as Deimos called his personal star-fighter, was heavily customised. Deimos had been trained in engineering and knew the design of StarVipers quite well. He had improved the mobility of the craft, buffed up the hyperdrive, increased the output of the shield generators and added a light twin laser cannon to it. He had also customised the paint work and had written 'Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur' across one of the wings. This translated from Mando'a to 'Today is a good day for someone else to die' in Basic.
Happy that everything was in order, the ship properly refueled and stocked on proton torpedoes he reached for the comns and hit a button. "This is Crimson Leader. Sign in" Demios ordered over the coms to his Squadron. He nodded when all twelve signed in. "Alright, Command. This is Crimson Squadron; ready for flight. Just give us the order."

On the other side of the hanger-bay Derick Titan tapped his foot impatiently inside the cabin of a LAAT/i. "Are we attacking anyone yet?" he grunted, glancing at his squad. A corporal shook his head. "No, Sir." Derick sighed then glanced at the nearest gunnery ball. After a brief second of thought he strode over to it then knocked on the canopy. The trooper inside glanced up at him then opened the canopy. "Sir?" the trooper asked and Derick jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "Out of there and get inside cabin. No arguments" He ordered. the trooper opened his mouth as if to complain, but he glanced at Derick z-6 rotary blaster cannon, which Derick had resting on his shoulder. "Right away sir" the trooper said clambering out of the turret. Derick pushed the chaingun into the troopers hands, since it wouldn't fit into the turret. "Keep a hold on that for me" he said before climbing into the turret. The trooper rolled his eyes and strode into the LAAT/i's cabin.

At the first sign of the ship's exit from hyperspace Alec's smile grew even bigger, until more than one ship dropped from hyperspace and ruined his good mood. " Son of a..... Joska, get us out of here. " A quick glance in the cathar's direction imparted the urgency the situation required for their survival. " Yes Sir, HELM!!! You heard the Captain. Jump us outta here. " Replied Joska with a severe growl. A small vibration throughout the ship could be felt, growing larger until it peaked then suddenly stopped. A startled shout from the sensor crew chief down in the crew pit brought everyones attention on him. " Captain, we're picking up a large gravitational field... " Joska glanced sharply out at the small flotilla of ships that had dropped out of hyperspace and it instantly became clear why they hadn't jumped to lightspeed. " Shit... they've got a fucking Interdictor cruiser... All Batteries Open Fire!!! " A look of alarm passed through Alec's eyes then he calmly said " Belay That! I've got something else in mind... Launch Control, launch all squadrons and have Stiletto and Razor Squadrons attack those Bothan Assault Frigates while Tempest and Cyclone take on those fighters. I also need Emerald Squadron to knock out that transports hyperdrive and engines. I'm not about to lose those weapons just yet. " The Launch Chief nodded then asked " And Crimson, Sir? " Looking at Joska Alec remarked " Joska I need you to get down to the hanger bay and lead an assault force to capture that Interdictor, I want it for our fleet... " then a sparing look for the launch chief " inform Crimson their to escort Commander Al'kesari and the assault team to the Interdictor and then join him on board in pacifying it's crew. " A second nod from the launch chief and with a quick return of Sir he was then relaying the orders to all involved. Joska gave Alec a look saying he was crazy but just yipped a sound of approval then strode off the bridge and took the turbo lift down to the hanger bay.

Navu jogged down the corridor into the hanger bay at a leasurely pace, 'taking his sweet time' or so his commanding officers would say. Navu was often known for being lazy and most wondered why he was even kept on board for his lack of motivation. In truth one of the only reasons he was allowed to stay was due to teh fact that he was one hard sob to kill, not to mention the fact that dispite apperences he liked his lot in life.
As he passed through the doors he felt someone hit him sharply across the back of his head. "you got a deathwish or something!" he shouted as he spun round to face Esu who had been standing there waiting for him. "Move your ass, ill be damned if i get into shit again for youre sorry ass not being there in a combat situation!"
Navu shot her a short glare before letting out a chuckle. "I never asked you to cover for me now did i?" he said whist leaning forward slightly so that he was eye level with her, "Or is it that you can't stand the thought of me getting into trouble eh?" he said with a sly grin as his face was less than a few centimetres away.
"Pah, youre full of yourself Eras." she said before pushing him away and making her way down teh hanger bay to where they were suposed to be.
"Any idea what were up against today ms sunshine?" Navu said in a sarcastic voice, ms sunshine being the nickname the others gave her because she was more often than not in a foul mood. "I told you to stop calling me that. Aside from that whats the difference really, you seen one you seen em all."
"Optimism." Navu said in a taunting tone, "How.. whats that word you always use.... ah thats it, Quaint."
"Just shut your trap."
With that done Navu grinned, his objective of putting her in a bad mood had sucseeded. It was a routene of sorts for him to make Esu annoyed before a fight as he found she usually performed better when she was pissed off. Navu glanced around and decided to push his luck a bit further. "Nice view from here.... you can see all the pilots getting ready ya know... " he was about to continue before Enu quickly shut him up.
"You know ill never get why youve got a thing for pilots..." he paused whilst letting out a chuckle, "Maybe i should apply then huh?"
"In your dreams." was all she said before the vibration hit them.
"This should be interesting" Navu chuckled as he looked around waiting for further instruction.

"Understood. Crimson Leader out" Deimos responded to the launch chief, then switched his com-channel to his squad. "You heard the Chief. Its go time. Crimson Five, you fly as my wingman. Four fly with Six. Understood?". Deimos ordered "Right, boss." came the reply from Crimson four, five and six. Deimos let himself a brief smile of pride at the squadron then started the launch sequence for his ship. A few seconds latter the SuperViper shot out of the Bloodstripe's hanger bay, closely followed by the rest of Crimson Squadron. "Wait for the LAAT/i's to launch then straight into defensive formations. Any of them gets destroyed and I'll throw all of you out a airlock, right? Only Engage enemy starfighters if they get close, don't get drawn away from the Larties." He ordered. He sighed as he watched the other squadrons launch and begin to engage the enemy, escort was not his favourite role, preferring straight on dog-fights, but he was well trained to follow orders.

"Urrah!" Derrick shouted as the LAAT/i he was riding in took off. "About time! I was getting bored!" he cheered and watched the hanger bay go flying by his gun pod. As the LAAT/i entered space he swivelled the turret around, eagerly looking for someone to shoot. He glanced sidewards at a Crimson Squadron StarViper take up position alongside of the LAAT/i and waved playfully. The pilot of the StarViper, Crimson Seven, ignored him, watching out for incoming fighters.

"Boss, we got Bombers incoming." Crimson Seven informed as he spotted a small squadron of Y-wing bombers that had managed to slip past the rest of the squadrons start heading towards the Bloodstripe. "I see them" Deimos muttered glancing around. Friendly squadrons that had deployed were too far away to intercept the bombs. "Right: Seven and Eight, Eleven and Twelve detach from formation and intercept. We don't want them scratching Bloodstripe's paint job do we?" "Affirmative" came the response from the four pilots and they flew off from the group. Deimos grinned as the four members of his squad began to make short work of the bombers, easily managing to out manoeuvre them. Half of the Y-wing squadron were eliminated almost instantly. He quickly surveyed the battle and noticed four X-wings detach from a squadron and start to make a beeline for them. "Crimson Five, see them X-wings? Right, wait till they get close and engage. Don't get drawn too far from the Larties. I have a feeling they are decoys, trying to separate us then attack with the rest of the sq-" he started but stared as a blast of green laser came from a nearby LAAT/I's Composite-beam laser turret and slice through one of the X-wing's starboard side, causing it to career out of control and crash into it's wingman, both disappearing in a ball of fire.
Inside his turret Derrick cheered at his shot. "Ha! Fucking take that." The Superviper shot forward to engage the remaining two. "Right, Five stay put. I'll deal with the remaining ones." He said. He angled his starfighter into a collision course with one of the X-wing fighters. A couple meters away from the X-wing, taking a few shots that harmless bounced of his deflectors, he fired a proton torpedo then barrel rolled off to the side. The X-wing, taken by suprise did not have time to dodge and the torpedo hit it dead on. Deimos cut off the left engine, causing the right one to make the Superviper spin around 180 degrees - The Superviper's lack of a fuselage made the ship much more nimble, allowing it to spin around much faster than other ships, such as the X-wing - so he was facing the second X-wing then fired his laser cannons. The heavy blasts tore through the back of the unprotected X-wing, hitting the engines and causing the fighter to explode. Deimos smirked and began to fly back to formation, whilst trying to make sure no other fighters got on his tail.

Hearing the clearance to take off Jysella fed power to her engines and slid her hand to take a better hold of her flightstick and rocketed her E-wing out of the hanger bay and rolled it to intercept the enemy fighters with the rest of her squadron and switched her com over to her flights frequency and started giving orders. " All right Two Flight, looks like we've got a few squadrons of X-wings to take care of... so break into pairs and stick to your wingman if you want to make it outta this one. " Glancing at her instruments she gathered that they were at least going to tie down two of the squadrons... that left a squadron of X-wings free to hit the larties. Watching four of the fighters break off she fervently hoped Crimson Squadron wasn't caught off guard when the rest would go after them. Snug in the E-wings droid socket Jysella's R2 astromech Punk started to chirp and whistle... " Jysella, I've detected that the last LAAT/i is taking off. " A glance at her scanner and she muttered it was about time then she was on the enemy.

Joska stepped off the turbo lift and stopped by the armory on his way to the Larties and picked up his stash of weapons then made his way onto the last LAAT/i moments before it took off and growled out commands over the com to get the path clear to the Interdictor as soon as possible.

Navu watched as the people hurried by before he noticed Joska heading for the last LAAT/i readying itself for takeoff. , "I guess thats our cue" he said as he let off a shrug, his black armor klinking as he did so before he jogged up behind Joska and found himself a place within the LAAT/i, Esu not far behind him.
Navu chuckled as he twirled his blaster rifle around in his hands in an almost Playful manner, all the while quietly humming an odd tune, the clear sign that he was in a good mood.
Esu rolled her eyes at his behaviour. "Cocky arn't we?" she noted as she observed his uncaring attitude. "Plan on being the meat-sheild again this time or do you actually plan on making yourself useful?" she said bitterly as she folded her arms.
"You'll see missy. Just remember how this meat-sheild saved your ass last time." He said in a low tone so she could hear but not many others. This kept her quiet for some time before she decided to turn her attention to Joska. "Commander," she said, pausing a moment before continuing, "Whats the plan of action sir?" she said, holding back the brunt of her irritated tone from her voice."
"Run in head first and hope to hell you don't get a smoking hole through your head." Navu whispered jokingly into Esu's ear before holding his hands up into the air as a peaceful guesture as she shot him a piercing glare.

The Superviper rejoined the convoy of LAAT/i. Deimos glanced at his scanner then out the view port. "All right, the route looks clear. Increase speed." He broadcasted to his squad. Then he hit the thruster till he was alongside the cockpit of the leading LAAT/i. He gave the Pilot an A-OK hand gesture, then flew ahead, Crimson Five following close behind; taking point of the convoy. "Now, where'd the other X-wings go?" he murmured to himself, remembering that only four of the squadron had been destroyed. As if reading his thoughts, Crimson Eight chimed in over the comlink. "Boss, six more of the X-wings are coming in from the starboard side. Permission to engage?" Deimos thought quickly, glancing at his scanner. "Okay, Seven and Eight, Two and Three move to intercept. Five follow me in. Everyone else keep with the convoy and watch out the the remaining two, don't want them jumping us while our backs are turned." he ordered and turned the Superviper towards the incoming X-wings, Crimson Five still tailing him.

Crimson Seven and Eight detached themselves from their position along side the column of convoys and sped towards the X-wing, coming head on. Two and Three also moved off to attack, heading in a angled course 45 degrees from Seven and Eight's port side. Deimos and Crimson five, coming from the front of the convoy, also came in from a 45 degree angle, to Seven and Eight's starboard side. "Fire. Get them in the cross fire." Deimos ordered and the six ships simultaneously blasted at the incoming X-wings. Two of them were obliterated instantly from the heavy fire-power of the combined Starviper's laser cannons. A third one took heavy damage to it's S-foils whilst the remaining three managed to manoeuvre safely away. "Two and Three watch our backs for the other two Xs. Five Seven and Eight follow me and take take out those three. Deimos, Crimson Five, Seven, Eight flew in pursuit of the escaping three X-wings whilst Two and Three followed slowly behind.

With a savage roll and hard turn to port Jysella snapped her E-wing onto the tail of an enemy X-wing and pulled her flightstick into her chest until the nose of her craft pointed just ahead of the enemy fighter and fired her lasers peppering the X-wing with shots until it flamed and exploded. " Scratch one X-wing!!! Hello Kill Number 63, where you been these past weeks... I missed you! " With her kill complete she rolled starboard leveling her fighter and pulled into a loop looking for more X-wings.

Joska turned and growled at Navu and said " I heard that Lieutenant Eras, and contrary to popular opinion we don't 'Run in head first and hope to hell you don't get a smoking hole through your head'.... Understood. " after a slight pause Joska replied to Esu " Simply put... Lieutenant Riaend, Once the Larties reach the Interdictor Crimson Squadron will go in first to pacify the hanger bay of any hostiles then land and the main force will come in and begin our assault. " Turning back to the com he relayed this news to Deimos.

Navu raised an eyebrow "fuzzy bastards got sharp hearing" he thought to himself , "gotcha...." he said whilst backing off slightly as Esu listned intently to what Joska had to say. "Understood Commander Al'kesari." she said before turning to Navu returning back to where they had been standing before.
"Why not just go ahead and lick his boots next time eh Esu? That or add an extra 'Sir' for good mesure?" Navu said sarcastically slipping into his more usual attitude, adapting a more aggitated look.
before he could add more onto his conversation Esu balled a fist and plowed it into his face, knocking him back a bit. "What the hell was that for!" he shouted before wiping off a bit of blood that resulted from where Esu's fist had connected with his face.
"Thats for not knowing your place dumbass"
"Bloody brat." he noted harshly before cracking his knuckles and adapting an almost manic smile. "Its all well and good. Just don't expect any help out there." he let out a low chuckle for a moment "Cause i won't be crying over your corpse." he said before turning his back on her and adapting his old unvoiced persona, instead of starting a meaningless fight here he chose to use it all in the coming moments.
Esu glared at him "who's acting like a kid now..." she mumbled under her breath wishing that they would arrive soon enough so tehy could just get everything over with.

"Aye aye, Sir" Deimos responded to Joska as he pursued the three X-wings. One of them was giving him trouble, managing to evade his laser blasts. "Alright then, try this on for size." he murmured then hit a couple buttons. On his targeting screen a red square appeared. It moved around the screen then finally affixed itself to the symbol representing the X-wing Deimos was chasing after. It flashed a couple times then turned green with a affirmative bleeping sound. Deimos grinned then hit a button on the top of the Superviper's control stick. The Superviper fired two homing proton torpedo that zoomed after the X-wing, who desperately tried to evade but the torpedoes were too fast, slamming hard into the X-wing causing it to explode into a cloud of fiery debris. Deimos chuckled then checked the status of his squad. Crimson Seven had downed a second X-wing and was assisting Crimson Eight in destroying the final one. As Deimos watched, the engines of the X-wing burst into flames then exploded. He grinned, but it was quickly wiped off his face. "Seven, watch it. On your tail!" he more or less shouted into the comlink as he spotted the final two X-wings making a bee line for Seven and open fire. Seven managed to evade the first several shots but a burst hit one of it's wings. Deimos steered the Superviper in the direction of the X-wings, trying to come to the aid to a member of his squadron. As the X-wings closed in for the kill, Crimson Two and Three, closing in from behind, fired proton torpedoes from both launchers. The torpedoes collided with the X-wings before they were close enough to finish of the crippled starviper of Crimson Seven.

"Seven, status report." Deimos ordered through the comlink as he watched the Starviper, slowly spin through space. "Damage to my number four engine, boss. Nothing life threatening, I can still stabilise it, but I guess I'm unfit for combat." Crimson reported and Deimos nodded to himself, glad that his pilot wasn't injured. "Right. return to the Bloodstripe for repairs. Eight escort him. Everyone else, back to the convoy." Deimos said and the Superviper, followed by Five, Two and Three. One the way back he noticed the crippled X-wing from before. It was completely immobilized. Deimos sighed then broadcasted Joska through the comlink. "Sir, i've got a incapacitated enemy star-fighter here. Want us to finish it off, or leave it for the Bloodstripe to take prisoner?"

Joska listened to Deimos's report then quickly replied " Wait One.... " then connected his com over to the Bloodstripe " This is Al'kesari, Captain I have a request for orders from Crimson Leader regarding a matter over a incapacitated enemy fighter, What should I tell him? " This request was quickly relayed to Alec and he quickly mulled the matter over then decided it might make for a chance to acquire some good intel about their enemy. " Understood, We'll be picking it up, please inform Captain Tracer to leave it alone. " With a shout for attention the fighter wing controller relayed that Emerald Squadron had pacified the transport and was awaiting new orders " Right, have them join Crimson Squadron in their current mission assignment. "

With the relaying of Alec's orders to Joska, Joska returned the com back to it's previous setting and passed this news onto Deimos " Right, the Captain wants it for his collection it seems... leave it for the Bloodstripe Crimson Leader. "

Esu let out a sigh as she tried to contemplate the battle ahead, "just like al he others" she mumbled to herself as she held her Heavy repeater close to her, almost like a mother caring for her child. Navu chuckled as he watched her. "having second thoughts are we?"he said in an uncaring tone, his deeper-than-normal voice attributed to the chill it gave her. "Not a chance!" she snapped back at him.
"Good then....."he said keeping his eyes forward. "Oi, commander Al'kesari. how long is this gonna take exactly?" as he said it Esu couldnt help but bury her face in her hands "at least he remembered commander this time....." she thought to yourself before mumbling, "And people openly associate me with you...."

Inside of the crippled X-wing, Ares Tracer swore like only a Mandalorian could. His insults were mainly directed at the Republic and how they had blackmailed him into signing up for this mission. After all he had once been a recruit, along with Deimos before he had been taken to the Jedi temple. He watched grimly through the X-wings canopy as the Starvipers began to fly back towards him and sighed. "Like hell I'm dying like this" he growled to himself and began to reach out towards the mind of the leading Starviper's pilot through the force. However he froze, a frown spreading across his face. "...Deimos?" he murmured in surprise. "But... he's dead?" He murmured, still confused. The last he had heard of his brother was that he had been killed when the Resolute had been destroyed in battle. His frown turned to a glare. "Fucking Republic. I have a feeling I haven't be told the whole story" He snarled. While Ares was good at controlling his rage, a trait from his Jedi training, he could easily be angered when issues came to his twin. It was one of the factors that had led to him leaving the Order, after he had heard about the 'death' of his twin. Quickly reconsidering what to do, he checked the air seal on his helmet and suit of armour. "Hope this works." He murmured to himself then hit the release button for the X-wings canopy. As it came loose he moved so he was crouching on his seat, and watched as the Superviper drew near then jumped, using the force to add to the power. He sailed through the vacuum of space and landed on the canopy of the Superviper.

Deimos stared in shock as the pilot landed on his starfighter's canopy. "The dro..." he started in disbelief at the actions of the pilot then stared as he recognised the armour. Ares' armour had been specially crafted to allow him to move nimbly enough for Lightsaber combat, whilst still trying to provide as much protection as a normal suit would. "Ares? wh....What....What the Fuck?!" he stated, completely dumbfounded by his twin's sudden appearance. Ares waved at Deimos through the canopy then made a gesture which meant he was low on oxygen. Still slightly in shock he reached for the comlink and hailed Joska.
"Err, this is Crimson Leader... Never mind my... um... statement before, Sir. Err I kind of... have the pilot aboard.... Over." He reported and watched as his brother clambered up the canopy, disappearing from sight as Ares went to hang onto the roof of the Superviper. There was a blipping from the comlink and Crimson Five's voice was broadcasted: "Err, Boss.... you've got a man... hanging on to your star-fighter." Deimos shook his head, beginning to get over the shock and sighed. "I know, Five. It’s OK. Let’s get back on with the mission." He said and began to steer the fighter towards the Immobilizer-418 class interdictor cruiser. Ares continued to cling onto the Superviper, using a force breath control technique to stop his body shutting down from lack of oxygen.

"Right, Crimson Squadron, follow me into the hanger. You know the orders; secure it for the Larties to land." He ordered as he approached the hanger bay doors. He checked to make sure his deflector shields were at full power, subsequently diverting some power from the weapon systems to it. He braced himself as the Superviper crossed through its magnetic field and into the bay itself. Fire from infantry began to pepper the ship, but its deflector shields easily blocked the weak fire. Ares dropped from the star fighter, releasing the air seal on his armour and gasped for breath and hid behind some hanger equipment. The rest of Crimson Squadron flew in one by one and began to land. Once his fighter had landed, Deimos paused, readying his weaponry.
Leaving the ship running, so its deflectors stayed active he then released the canopy and jumped out. He took cover behind the folded wings of the Superviper and began to return fire with his DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle. "Resistance in the hanger bay is light. Start sending in the Larties." Deimos reported to Joska though the comlink mounted on the wrist of his armour. After a few seconds Ares landed next to him, having force sped across the bay, and began to block and deflect blaster shots back at the the soldiers firing on them, his silver Lightsaber moving swiftly through the air. If not for the firefight, there would have been an awkward silence between the two siblings.

Taken aback by Deimos's last statement Joska narrowed his eyes and gave a startled yip from the back of his throat and was about to ask for clarification from him but was sidetracked by the fighter pilot's further report of the light resistance in the Interdictor's hanger bay and his clearance for the Larties to land. " Understood, Secure what you can of the hanger bay as our forces land Captain, Commander Al'kesari out. " Turning to the Marines inside his LAAt/i he quietly ordered them to perform final weapons and equipment checks before they landed, then relayed those same orders as well as the order to begin landing operations to the rest of the larties, when E-wings from Tempest Squadron streaked past to intercept a flight of X-wings that had broken away from what remained of the main dogfight and engaged them with a furious outpouring of laser fire from their cannons, destroying two of them outright as they flamed then spun off and exploded. " Nice shooting Five... " crowed Tempest Squadron's commanding officer Captain Lekas in response to Jysella having nailed both enemy fighters in quick succession then decided to give her some heckling over her taking the kills away from the others " You keep flying like that and I'll start to think your gunning for my Jo...Agh..ck... " The pilot's words were cut short as a X-wing slipped from his sights when it pulled a reverse throttle hop then barrel rolled into position behind him and let loose with a devastating barrage of quad laser fire that at first crippled then flamed the E-wing into so much guttering shrapnel that it forced the late captain's wingman Tempest Two to break hard to starboard in order to evade the deadly blast and the X-wing then pulled into a tight turn, easily banking onto Tempest Two's tail and let loose with a proton torpedo which nearly obliterated the E-wing right there and then.

Jysella screamed out her rage as she swept her fighter through a hard upwards loop until she reached it's apex then pushed her fighter into a spiraling downward roll as the x-wing and it's remaining flight member tried to make a bee-line for one of the Bothan Assault Frigate's. " I don't think so!! You motherless son of a..... " She snarled as she used her fighter's superior speed to quickly catch up to the trailing fighter and fired her lasers until it's lower port s-foil disintegrated under her heavy fire and spun from her view. Jysella let it go as her gaze then focused on the sole remaining X-wing, intent on avenging her captain's death she threw all available power to her engines as she gave chase. " Like hell... your not getting away from me that easy!!! "

Meanwhile the Bloodhawk's LAAt/i's began landing aboard their target, but the republic ship wasn't about to go quietly into that good night without being a major pain in the Bloodhawk's backside as it opened fire with it's twenty quad-laser cannons sending a hail of laser fire into the group of small landing craft. " Hang On!!! " Shouted the LAAT/i's pilot as he threw the craft into a heavy bank to port then flew it into a wild series of evasive maneuvers making the ride suddenly uncomfortable for everyone involved.

a look of distatste grew on Navu's face "that damn furball ignored me" he thought to himself before watching Joska's odd behaviour. Not really caring to much for it Navu was about to 'clarify' what he had said further. But before he was able to do so Esu stopped him and shook her head "over my head body" she murmored so he could hear. In responce to this he leaned forward with a grin on his face. "That could easily be aranged"
Esu was about to react to his comment but before she managed to say anything the pilot yelled something about hanging on before the both of them were thrashed to the side. Navu managed to grab ahold of a bar with his one hand before reaching out with the other before grabbing Esu by the waist and pulling her towards him all the while moving his feet into a sturdyer stance. "Can't take you anywhere can we?" he said jokingly before the LAAT/i moved again, affecting them less than the last time as they were more prepared. "OI!" Navu shouted towards the front of the LAAT/i "Try give a little more warning next time!" he said sarcastically with a slight chuckle as he righted his grip and watched how the flight was affecting everyone else on board.

A couple crates that were scatted about on the hanger bay floor were flung into their air and into a crowd of hostile soldiers. Ares chuckled to himself and concentrated on blocking shots from what remained of the hanger's defence soldiers, who had retreated to the hanger's three doorways and were taking cover on the other side. Deimos glanced around the hanger, assessing the tactical situation. "Right Crimson, separate into groups. Five, come with me and Ares. Everyone else, dived yourself into two groups of four and take one of the side doors, make sure they are secure for the Marines." he said into the comlink on his wrist. "Make sure to stay in cover, don't storm the door ways. Remember, we are pilots. They pay us to die in dogfights, not in fire fights. That's the ground pounders' job." Deimos chuckled. Whilst Ares didn't have a comlink, he was close enough to Deimos to hear his statement and rolled his eyes. After a few seconds on returning fire on the main door into the hanger bay, with Ares reflecting shots back with his Lightsaber they began to advance on the door. By the time the first LAAT/i landed they had reached the door. Deimos, however was oblivious to this fact as shot down the corridor as a large amount of enemy reinforcements came round the corner further down.

"Crap, we've got enemy reinforcement's incoming." Deimos said into his com as he took cover behind the edge of the door. Five did the same to the other side and Ares, after realising he couldn't block that many soldiers dashed next to Deimos. "Right now would be a great time for s-" he started but cut off by another voice; "never fear, the Titan is here!" yelled Derrick as he reached the door way. Pushing Crimson Five away from the doorway, Derrick took his position, poked the barrel of his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon around the corner and opened fire. Several of the incoming soldier fell in the ensuing hail of blaster fire before the rest managed to make it into cover along the side of the corridor "Thought you fly-boys would be out of your depth." Derrick laughed. Deimos chuckled good spiritedly and glanced around the Hanger. Marines from Derrick's squad and a second LAAT/i that had managed to land were reinforcing members of Crimson squad position. "So who's the Jedi?" Asked Derrick, taking a break from firing down the corridor to look Ares up and down. "He's my twin, Derrick." Deimos muttered, his tone clearly put forth the statement 'Don't Ask'. "Names Ares Tracer" Ares muttered. Derrick raised an eyebrow, remembered Deimos couldn't see it and shrugged. "Right. I'll ask latter." he said and turned his attention to shooting the soldiers in the corridor. "Sir, we've captured the Hanger. Holding position till you arrive." Deimos reported to Joska
